The PNG Rural Household Survey (2023) graphing tool allows users to explore location specific data of rural household livelihoods and welfare. The 2023 PNG Rural Household Survey collected individual and household level data from 270 communities across 14 provinces. A total of 2,699 households were surveyed. Statistics are disaggregated across 5 agro-ecological areas which are defined by rainfall variability (seasonal and non-seasonal) and elevation (highlands and lowlands. The graphing tool provides information on:
- Household composition and education
- Engagement in off-farm employment
- Migration trends
- Household consumption and expenditure
- Agricultural production and sales
- Child growth outcomes
